What can Relationship Counselling here do for you?

Relationship counselling is a therapy that focuses on improving communication and resolving conflicts between couples. It can help couples and individuals experiencing difficulties in their relationships and interactions enhance their understanding of their emotional responses and behaviours, and develop more effective strategies for managing them.

Offering this service envisions that cultural and racial sensitivity, alongside power and privilege imbalance, can help couples be more tentative with each other. It is crucial in relationships, as it is an issue that, though not always discussed, affects relational interactions.

My approach -A creative space in our therapeutic Relationship

Another Hope Counselling is a trauma-informed service, thrilled to offer a service that directly relates to the quality of your relationships and, in turn, your overall quality of life. Life can throw challenges our way, leaving us hopeless and thinking that a healthy relationship is just out of reach.

When issues arise, the emotional turmoil can feel overwhelming, leading to frustration and a sense of being trapped, which might push you to a separation. But don’t worry.

A Mindful Approach for Partners Stuck in a Rut

My approach is creative, curiously understanding each person and supporting you in exploring your relationships issues within our developing therapeutic environment. Our session helps you uncover the unique problems that shape your experiences. The added advantage of trauma-informed practice offers depth in couples counselling with an understanding lens and aligning with you. Ability to see through your views helps provide insights and encouragement needed to trust yourself to make a difference. So you can gradually get to know yourself, some of your defences, patterns and what you bring to any relational space and your relationships. That way, partners can understand and make informed decisions and choices to build a stronger, more fulfilling relationship.

A Personalised Relational Model and Approach

Every relationship is unique, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to resolving issues. My work helps you and your partner better understand yourselves and know and meet each other’s needs as much as possible.

Personalising couples counselling here offers a specialised Relational model. Each session involves assessing each partner individually, exploring several levels of awareness —cognitive, emotional and more—, and, together, gathering information, drawing up an overview or a formulation, and continuing the work collaboratively.

Connecting on Several levels and depth

It is an approach that offers a compassionate, multi-layered couple’s work. For instance, in premarital counselling, exploring materials emerging in the couple’s joint sessions in a separate space to support their therapy (Porter 1993), while being attuned to each person to help them work through personal issues or resistance to relating to one another. This approach promotes partners’ feelings of being heard and connected.
