Youth Counselling
Manage Emotional Transformations with Youth Counselling
Recent statistics show that youths are becoming increasingly anxious. I offer a safe space in our therapeutic and working relationship for young adults and youth to build self-awareness and self-esteem. I believe that if an individual is in the right environment, they can self-actualise, understand, and navigate the impact of problematic experiences.
Having the necessary support sooner rather than later can stimulate a young person's developmental process and help and support them in continuing on a healthy trajectory of self-image with a sense of belonging, self-worth, competence, and purpose.
In today's world, primarily due to social media, an increasing reliance on external resources and pressure, most young people, adolescents, young adults, and youths are most likely to suffer from loneliness, depression and anxiety. They tend to manage failure developing a sense of constant comparison of themselves to others on social media.
Here at Another Hope Counselling and Psychotherapy Service, the aim is to work closely with you to support and enhance developmental and psychological well-being. This is by offering a safe space for Youths and young people to work at their pace to build resilience alongside self-awareness through our therapeutic relationships.

The environment of our sessions strives to encourage and stimulate curiosity to support considering change, rediscovering, and engaging with one's natural abilities. This focus promotes a healthy self-image, improved self-esteem, sense of belonging, self-worth, and competence to grow in line with one's natural developmental stages.
Some of the Major issues that youth experience –
-
Depression and anxiety: Many young people experience symptoms of depression or anxiety at some point in their lives. Through experiences in their environments, home and social, or internal confusion, I strive to help them understand themselves, manage symptoms, and improve their mood and world outlook through therapy.

-
Trauma and abuse: Experiencing trauma or abuse can have a lasting impact on a young person's development, mental health, and well-being. I work towards supporting you to have meaning and make sense of your experiences, develop healthy strategies to move forward, and, where possible, heal from the past and thrive.

-
Developmental Issues: Young people's negative experiences can stunt their developmental progress, resulting in several relational issues. I work with a curiosity to understand each person's process, to reflect this to the individual, and to encourage self-awareness and growth.

-
Relationships & Peer Pressure: Building healthy relationships is a crucial part of adolescence but can also be challenging. Whether you're struggling with peer conflicts, relationships, or family issues, I can help you navigate these issues and build more robust and supportive relationships.

-
Academic stress: The pressures of scholarly achievement can be overwhelming, especially in a competitive and fast-paced environment. We can work towards improving your way of managing stress and anxiety, your study habits, and your ability to balance school and other areas of life.
