Hello, nice to meet you
My name is Adeola. I am a BACP‑accredited counsellor and psychotherapist and a registered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS). I offer a warm, reflective, and culturally attuned space for individuals, couples, and families. My work is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and a deep respect for the complexity of people’s lived experiences.
I am particularly interested in how our histories, identities, relationships, and cultural contexts shape the way we move through the world. I approach therapy with openness and humility, recognising that each person brings their own wisdom, strengths, and ways of making sense of life.
My practice is informed by counselling, psychology, trauma‑informed care, systemic thinking, and pluralistic values. This means I draw from a range of evidence‑based approaches and tailor therapy to each person’s needs, rather than expecting one model to fit everyone.

I am committed to ongoing professional development, reflective practice, and working ethically and collaboratively. I aim to create a therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, understood, and supported as you explore what matters most to you.
My deep passion for fostering positive change is not merely a profession; it’s a calling. I see complex cases through to thrive as much as possible, believing that every moment in our therapeutic journey holds the potential for transformation, hope, and a brighter future. This passion drives me to offer my clients and communities the best support, inspiring hope and a sense of possibility. I aim to inspire you with my dedication and commitment to your well-being
Serving and Empowering Communities
I have worked with varied communities both in the UK and internationally, supporting individuals across various cultural, social, and community contexts. These experiences continue to enhance my understanding of identity, migration, belonging, and the many ways people make sense of their lives. All these enrich my practice.
A refined Expertise, a rich Resource
With extensive experience includes addressing socioeconomic needs and fostering relationships within the corporate sector, I have refined my expertise over the years. My passion for understanding human behaviour and why people act as they do has consistently guided me in counselling, communication skills, and helping roles, which I have been using in the UK since 2003. This journey has allowed me to work with a diverse range of individuals and a variety of issues, using various therapeutic techniques. Rest assured, you are entering a collaborative space rich in resources, where nothing is too trivial to discuss.
Your Courage
It takes immense courage to confront life’s challenges and to seek a healthier, happier version of yourself. I deeply admire your determination in taking these steps. Your decision to seek help is a testament to your inner strength. I have witnessed remarkable transformations in my clients, and their resilience and ability to find new hope inspire me daily. Many of them give me feedback to keep going, guiding, illuminating new paths, and parting the clouds. I am here to support you as you tackle the issues that matter most to you, whether they are limiting or holding you back.
The Inspiration
My key motivation, based on belief, is that while life happens to all, someone’s past need not hold them back from their full potential. While these potentials may have been hidden beneath life’s struggles, they await discovery. These convictions and visions drive my passion for helping others thrive. I am committed to creating an enabling environment for your brighter future by providing a welcoming, safe space within our therapeutic relationship. Together we can explore the issues that influence you both, consciously and unconsciously, and that may lead to psychological distress. We will identify barriers to resilience and nurture it to enhance your psychological well-being. As a practitioner aligning with this service’s vision, I am here to assist you in gaining clarity and confidence as you navigate the issues on your mind. Everyone deserves the chance to develop in self-awareness and make empowering choices. I look forward to walking alongside you on this journey, always keeping your well-being at the forefront of our work.

Counselling, Psychotherapy, and Psychology Skills and Experience
Over ten years of dynamic experience and a wealth of skills developed in the UK’s top specialist counselling organisations, mental health services and private practice. A developing career in Psychology, and the privilege of contributing to research and innovative practices. This journey has prepared me to bring my expertise to the table.
As a Reflective Practitioner in working with families, choosing to work with this service offers you a supportive environment that values and fosters your personal development.
My extensive background in helping roles, both in and outside the UK, began as a Red Cross first-aider and spans over two decades. My commitment deepened while pursuing my first degree, and I was drawn to community service, volunteering at the United Nations Camp, where I advocated and mentored. I have worked with diverse groups both within the UK and internationally, supporting people across different cultural, social, and community contexts. These experiences continue to shape my sensitivity to identity, migration, belonging, and the many ways people make sense of their lives. Additional experiences include supporting individuals at an abstinence-based recovery programme (AA) at Caleb’s drug and alcohol addiction rehabilitation centre in Bradford. Further experience in advocacy and supporting and resettlement positions in the community support agency and housing association, collaborating with the UK Border Agency. My experience spans diverse populations, multicultural groups, and various settings, enriching my practice.
Having been part of remarkable teams in specialised organisations such as Family Action, which supports domestic violence survivors, including providing services at Canterbury Community Centre. These experiences gained are a valuable asset. My background includes working at Leeds Mind and Bradford Rape Crisis & Sexual Abuse Survivor Service (BRCSSS). I have held various roles as a counsellor, therapist, and group facilitator across different centres, including specialising in Relationships at Relate Bradford and Leeds, and at Talk Listen Change (TLC). At Relate Hull and East Yorkshire, and Relate Preston, Blackburn, Lancashire. Additionally, I have served as a trainer on the Separating Parents Information Programme (SPIP). My specialist areas include relationships, childhood trauma in adults, C-PTSD, faith-based Christian counselling, personal development, narcissism, neurodivergence, adults affected by child sexual abuse, domestic violence, and more—working with Adults, Youth, Young People, Groups, Couples, Families, dysfunctions, cultural diversity and more. Other interests include supporting sports professionals, the Military, and the Armed Forces.
